Have you ever wondered what would happen if sunshine, spaghetti noodles, and pure happiness turned into a dog? Meet Makenzie!

This 7ish-month-old yellow sweetheart from Alabama is all legs, all wiggles, and approximately 97% enthusiasm. She's still growing into those long limbs, which means her signature move is the occasional accidental trip over absolutely nothing.

Despite many changes in her life and a long drive from Alabama to Wheeling, Illinois, Makenzie approaches life like every day is the best day ever. New people? Future best friends. Toys? Amazing. Sticks? Incredible. A leaf blowing across the yard? LIFE-CHANGING.

Despite her goofy antics, Makenzie has a heart as big as her paws. She's a sweet, affectionate, and docile doe of a pup who's ready to trade her puppy days for a forever family that will laugh at her clumsy adolescent zoomies, cheer her on as she figures out this whole "growing up" thing, and remind her daily that she's the best girl - even when she accidentally sits halfway in your lap because she hasn't quite realized how long she is.

Makenzie loves dogs, and is wonderful with dogs of all ages and sizes. She is a gentle yet fun playmate, and not one of those bouncing off the walls, super high-energy pups. In fact, she enjoys laying in the shade during playgroup as much as she loves playing!

Makenzie’s adoption fee is $300. She is spayed, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
