This course has several lessons, each with a progress exam and most with supplemental learning materials, such as videos, illustrations, and/or downloadables.
In this module, we address the importance of grooming, what the benefits are, and what tools you need to get started. If you’re new to grooming or are somewhat reticent about it, this lesson will help you prepare.
Grooming your dog requires an initial evaluation, especially if you’re doing it for the first time. This lesson teaches you how to identify your dog’s needs and potential health concerns and what you need to do to address them.
This lesson covers the ins and outs of brushing and bathing your dog. We’ll cover the different coat and fur types, what tools you’ll need, as well as a step-by-step process of how to do it properly.
Moving from outer hygiene to inner hygiene, this lesson addresses one of the more challenging (and less practiced areas) of grooming – teeth brushing.
Keeping the surfaces of your dog’s ear clean is important for preventing infections. This module introduces different ear types and how you can clean them regularly.
One of the trickiest things to maintain on your dog is their nails. Not only can it be difficult to get your pup to stay still, but you also have to avoid cutting the nerve endings. This module tackles nail maintenance and how to do it carefully.
This module reviews all the previous lessons and provides a summary exam.
