Meet Dominick — a big-hearted, affectionate 2 year old Boxer/Bull dog mix who is struggling in the shelter simply because he loves people too much. He is losing weight due to the stressful over crowed shelter environment since he is being kenneled for a year now.

Dominick is one of those dogs whose spirit quietly fades behind kennel walls. He is incredibly loving, people-oriented, and emotionally sensitive, and the shelter environment has been very hard on him. Dogs like Dominick—gentle, affectionate, and deeply bonded to humans—often suffer the most when they’re deprived of connection and routine.

Dominick has energy and strength, so he will do best with a foster who enjoys daily walks, playtime, and possibly access to a fenced yard where he can run and decompress. Once his energy is burned, he is more than happy to cuddle, relax, and sleep by your side. He has a classic Boxer personality—curious, playful, intelligent, and full of joy for life.
