Meet Dude, a striking 3 year-old red and white Husky with the classic Husky charm: independent, curious, and full of personality. This confident, social boy is easy to handle and always eager to explore what’s going on around him—especially when he gets to spend time outside!

Dude has been living in the shelter and would greatly benefit from a foster home where he can decompress, get consistent attention, and enjoy the freedom to safely explore his environment. In a home, he can show the calm, friendly, and confident Husky he truly is.

Social and friendly with people, calm and polite with strangers

Curious about other dogs and able to interact appropriately

Easygoing around food and toys, happy to share or give up items when asked

Enjoys gentle handling and companionship without being overly needy

Independent yet affectionate in his own confident way

What Dude needs in a foster home:

A household familiar with Huskies and their energy, intelligence, and independence

Children 7+ or adults who understand his breed traits

Consistent structure, exercise, and mental enrichment to keep his clever mind engaged

Opportunities for controlled social exposure with other tolerant, dog-savvy dogs, or he can thrive as an only dog
