Meet Billy — a sweet, 2 years old who weighs 70 pounds. He is soulful Olde English Bulldogge mix who has been overlooked in a over crowded shelter and quietly shutting down and hiding in his kennel overwhelmed and afraid.

Billy is shy and sensitive dog who is terrified in the stressful shelter environment. The constant noise, confinement, and lack of consistent human connection have taken a toll on him, and it’s becoming clear that he desperately needs a foster home to decompress before the shelter breaks his spirit completely.

Outside the chaos, Billy shows what he truly is:
a gentle, affectionate, people-loving dog who wants nothing more than stability, kindness, and a chance to feel safe. He is smart and food motivated and hence easy to train and has an incredibly gentle mouth. He enjoys running in cooler weather and would make an excellent running partner but also just as easily adjust to your energy level.

He would do best in a home that can offer:

A calm, structured environment

Patience and consistency

Daily walks and routine

A quiet place to rest and decompress

Once Billy feels secure, his personality shines. He is loyal, loving, and deeply appreciative of human companionship. Dogs like him don’t ask for much—they just need someone to believe in them when they can no longer advocate for themselves.
