Meet ruth
My name is Ruth! I am a cute, petite mixed breed girlie who arrived at the shelter on October 9th. While I had a microchip, unfortunately my family did not come forward to reclaim me so I'm excited to find myself a new loving home!
A little bit about me - I'm a bit nervous here in the shelter, but the person who found me said that I was super chill and got along well with new people and their pets too.
If you are interested in meeting Ruth, stop by the shelter between 10am-6pm!

10/10/2026 per staff:
Kennel presentation: alarm barking when I entered small dog room. Low growl, tense body, pinned ears and whale eyes as I approached cage side. Spoke to her in a soft, high pitched voice and her body relaxed some. Grabbed a towel to remove from kennel for vet checks, Opened kennel door and she army crawled to front of kennel with low tail wags and pinned ears, crawled up my chest and into my arms. Wrapped in towel and comfortably carried to the exam room. Easily handled for exam, easily carried back to small dog and returned to kennel.
per store 10/19: Ruth is pretty lethargic today. She is coughing a lot more this morning and is experiencing nasal discharge. She also didn't eat this morning, whereas she engulfed her food yesterday morning. I gave her a dose of Doxy and carp this morning. I'm pretty sure she has kennel cough but I wanted to reach out if we can do anything to make Ms Ruth feel better.
