Meet Winnie! 🖤🐾
Winnie is a beautiful 40-pound Black Lab mix who has found herself in rescue through no fault of her own. Her elderly owner passed away, and this sweet girl suddenly lost the person and home she knew. Now Winnie is hoping someone will open their heart and give her the loving home she deserves.
Winnie is good with other dogs, and is housetrained. She is actually very good at communicating when she needs to go out! She will go to the back door to let you know she needs to go outside. If you don't notice her, she'll come find you, walk right up to you, and give you a little paw to make sure you get the message. ❤️
Winnie has an active personality. She loves to run, play, and have fun with the other dogs. She would enjoy a family who wants a dog that can keep up with them and then settle down for some quality time afterward.
Winnie is also not a fan of bad weather. Thunderstorms and nasty weather make her nervous, so she would appreciate a family who understands that she may need a little extra reassurance when Mother Nature isn't cooperating. She will be in your lap during a storm!
Winnie came into rescue with Theresa, who is also available for adoption. They were surrendered together after their owner's passing, but they do not have to be adopted together. We would love to see them each find wonderful homes where they can start the next chapter of their lives.
Winnie has already lost one family she loved. Now she's ready for a second chance—a family who will make her feel safe, included, and loved for the rest of her life. 🖤
