Pauly ACCT-A-259226 is an approximately 4-year old medium sized intact mixed breed dog that was picked up by ACCTPhilly as a stray on 8/21/2026. This sweet, exuberant and itchy pup is suffering from severe skin issues and is in need of urgent rescue placement!

8/21/26 Notable Medical Exam Findings:
Eyes - scleral injection OU; Ears- chronic otitis externa AU. Bleeding wounds on pinnal flaps; Skin - patchy, diffuse alopecia. Underlying skin is erythematous w/ scaling and crusts. Hyperplastic nipples; Very pruritic.
Assessment:
Severe, diffuse dermatitis w/ evidence of yeast and bacterial overgrowth - r/o underlying atopy vs food allergy vs other.
Plan:
Skin scrape: negative
Nexgard 60-121 lbs - 1 tab PO
Claro applied AU
Apoquel 16 mg PO BID x 7 days
Clindamycin 325 mg PO SID x 14 days
Fluconazole 150 mg PO SID x 14 days

8/21 Behavior Notes Upon Intake:
Very sweet and easy to handle, gets along with other dogs. Was seen playing with neighbors dog while she was walking her dog!
