Meet Boogie Board, the only beach babe we know who can catch a wave and take up an entire lap. A girl who can really do it all! This almost-50-lb brindle beauty is the mushiest, sweetest, cutest little beach bum around, ready to ride one big wave straight into your heart.

Boogie Board came into our care as a stray and quickly became a favorite to all thanks to her wiggly personality, joyful spirit, and serious dedication to making friends. On walks, she’ll stop to say hello to just about every person she passes and somehow, everyone seems to agree: she’s “the sweetest baby ever.”

Boogie is also certified lapdog, despite what the scale may say... and she’ll happily plop herself down, stare lovingly into your eyes until the pets begin, and then melt right into you for cuddles, belly rubs, and a cozy nap. Her foster says she’s the kind of mush who will practically fall into your lap and happily cuddle for hours. Basically, she has never met a personal-space boundary she didn’t want to ignore.

Boogie Board arrived at PAWS with a wound of unknown origin on the top of her head, and thankfully, it has fully healed and requires no further care. However, because we don’t know how the wound happened, Boogie will need a special home without resident pets while she completes her 120-day quarantine period through December. She has previously done well with other dogs, and once her quarantine is complete, we think she could make a wonderful canine companion for someone with a zest for play. For now though, she is ready for her solo spotlight.

Boogie Board is also ready to catch the biggest wave of all: the one that takes her straight home. So grab your metaphorical surfboard and get ready to hang ten, because this sweet girl is here to make some waves. Boogie Board is looking for her person or people, and catch her wave while you can!

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it’s not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.
