Meet Minnie, an adult spayed female Japanese Chin! Minnie is settling in well with her CT foster and we are accepting applications for her now! She will be required to attend our adoption event in Dayville, CT on 9/20.

Her foster said, "Minnie loves to snuggle, will follow you around the house, and enjoys playing with toys. She snores and makes adorable noises. Other than that she is quiet as a mouse. Her squishy face is the cutest. She’s what I call an “indoor girl” but does great on a leash but only likes to go out to do her business and get right back in on the couch.. She is happy on the couch or being carried around (her favorite). If you want to go for long walks in the park, she is not the dog for you . She is definitely a lap dog."

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
