Kristine and her brother Dave (who has been adopted) made the journey here all the way from Alabama. In May, we had their mom, Aurora, who was quickly adopted!

Aurora and her babies were rescued from a crowded shelter in rural Alabama, and taken to a nice foster home where they got healthy and awaited adoption or transport up north. We are happy to have her here! We knew her mom and how sweet she was, so it must be in their genes!

Kristine is an absolute doll. She is trusting and loving, and such a sweetheart. She quickly learned how to walk on a leash, which was not something she had ever done before! Since she is a puppy, and a smart and very food-motivated one at that, by the time anyone reads this she is probably already walking better on leash than most of our other dogs who have been doing it far longer!

Kristine is a very social pup and is not afraid of bigger dogs whatsoever. Her bestie at the shelter is Neve, who is close to 70 lbs, and Kristine can hold her own! Kristine can also be gentle and dainty and calm. She knows how to read a room!

Kristine has spent Sundays-Thursdays in a foster home while we are closed for adoptions, so we are getting to know her better in the home through her foster family. They write, "Kristine loves attention and like most puppies will whine when left alone.

She's very active and loves playing with toys especially ones that squeak or make any noise!

She is teething, so she needs lots of different things to chew on. Two of her baby teeth have fallen out so she enjoys chewing on stuff to itch her new growing teeth!

She loves to eat, so she may ask or try to get food from the table or stuff on couches and chairs. But even then she is extremely well behaved and gentle and stops when is told no.

She patiently waits till her walk outside to do her business and doesn't pee or poop at home no matter what!

She is a very well behaved dog and gets used to rules or routine very easily. She's easy to train and set boundaries with as well as play and have fun."

We hope you will come and meet this sweet southern girl soon! She deserves a home to call her own, once and for all.

Kristine’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed and up to date on core vaccines. She will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age, to be done at her adopter's vet.
