Gizmo is the perfect mix of quirky, lovable, and smart. He’s playful, with adorable bursts of zoomie energy, but he’s equally happy curling up next to you for quiet snuggle time.
Gizmo is looking for a calm, low-traffic home where he can settle in at his own pace. This affectionate boy wants to be with you wherever you go. Curious and interested, he’s a little Sherlock.
Like any dog, he can be cautious with new people, and he’s sometimes nervous with men. Gizmo does best with slow introductions and people who respect his boundaries. Because of this, he’d be happiest in a home without small children. Gizmo has tested well with cats, but not dogs bigger than him.
It’s fun and rewarding to train and build trust with Gizmo. He’s food motivated and crate trained, and he quickly learned basic commands. Gizmo sometimes worries things will be taken from him. Therefore, he’ll do best with adopters who understand dog body language and are willing to provide reassurance, structure, and consistency.
