Shi-Shi is a 5-year-old Shih Tzu Chihuahua mix who weighs about 12 pounds. She’s a sweet little dog who gets along well with other dogs and is currently being fully vetted with us.

She was originally left with family and sadly never reclaimed, so she’s now looking for a stable, loving home where she can feel secure. Shi-Shi can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but she does warm up with time and patience.

She has had puppies in the past and will be spayed so she won’t have to go through that again. Because we are still learning more about her, we think she would do best in a home with older children or adults only.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!

2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.

3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)

4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
