Layla is a lively, affectionate 10 year old girl who adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She’s happiest in an active home where someone is around much of the time, since she loves being right in the middle of family life. Layla has a big personality and expresses herself with plenty of barking, often just for fun, so she’ll do best with people who appreciate a chatty companion.

Layla also has allergies that require ongoing care. When she first arrived, her skin was in rough shape, but with treatment and a special diet, she’s made great progress! She may need continued management to keep her comfortable.

With her playful spirit and loving nature, Layla will be a wonderful addition to a family that understands her needs and is ready to make her part of their everyday life.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!

2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.

3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)

4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
