Meet puddy
Meet Puddy (ACCT-A-230513), an opinionated elder statesman Yorkie mix looking for a soft landing!
Puddy is a sweet senior gent who's looking for a comfy place to spend his golden years. He can be a bit aloof at first, but once he trusts you, he enjoys being picked up and spending time with his favorite humans. He may have some vision and/or hearing loss, but that doesn’t stop him from exploring and enjoying life!
He's previously lived with a cat and has met other dogs at the shelter and seems to enjoy their company. Puddy came to us when his previous owner was no longer able to care for him. He's a bit "stuck in his ways" so he will do best with a patient owner who understands stubborn seniors!
**It is important to note that Puddy requires a dental cleaning and/or extractions, so he's looking for a rescue placement or experienced adopter who can manage the financial needs of senior medical care**

BEHAVIOR:
Per volunteer 1/7/2026: Puddy allowed me to pick him up and walk outside with him. We did a dog meet with Chip. Puddy was very aloof and did not engage with Chip. Puddy showed signs of possible deafness and blindness. No issues returning him to his kennel. His tongue sticking out
