My name is Rocko and I’m joining the Paddy’s Paws family as a local surrender. I have always lived with other dogs and have met the 5 dogs of all ages and sizes in my foster home just fine.

I am most definitely a bulldog with my squatty body and bulldog antics! To know them is to love them, and as bulldog owners know, they have a personality all their own and need guidance, structure, and tolerance for gas ;)

My foster family also found out I likely have Idiopathic Epilepsy. This isn’t uncommon in my breed and is managed by medication. For this reason, I am looking for a family with Frenchie experience or bulldog experience.

I am doing great with my routine in my foster home, and am the best boy for sleeping through the night! I absolutely love going for walks and eating is the only thing that tops that! I rarely bark, unless there is a newbie in the home and I need to check their credentials before allowing them to enter my castle. If they bring cheese or a treat, they will pass security clearance.

I do live with kids in my foster home and they are very respectful of me. I think I would like teens or adults as my best match!

I am excellent for baths and nail trims and belly rubs just happen to be my love language. I am a good boy looking for an exceptional home!

Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
