Meet cayenne
Cayenne is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours! Cayenne will be at our Subaru- Highland Park event this Saturday (10/17) from 10a-2p for you to meet!

A little spice, a lot of sweetness, and one VERY handsome brindle coat! With his gorgeous tiger-striped coat, those warm brown eyes, and his gentle disposition, Cayenne is sure to win you over! And at just around a year old and~40 pounds, Cayenne is a conveniently-sized package of brindle goodness!
Cayenne came to us from a rural Kentucky shelter, where he had been surrendered along with his three littermates. His previous family had an accidental litter of puppies, and while they had the best intentions of keeping them, they eventually discovered that raising four adolescent dogs at once was a little more than they(slash-anyone, haha) could manage. We're hoping Cayenne's siblings will be able to join us at Heartland as space allows, but for now, this handsome fellow is representing the family, and he's doing a wonderful job of it!
Cayenne is an incredibly sweet, friendly boy who absolutely LOVES other dogs. He's already been having a great time making friends in our playgroups. His previous owners also described him as wonderful with children and cats, which is certainly lovely to hear.
At around a year old, Cayenne is still a youngster, with all the fun, curiosity, and enthusiasm that comes with that. He's at such a great age to continue learning, exploring, and growing into the wonderful companion we think he'll become.
We are so happy that he now has the opportunity to find a family of his very own, and we think whoever adopts him is going to be awfully lucky!

Cayenne's adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
