Meet river
River is a sweetheart with a sensitive soul and a whole lot of hound dog opinions. This lovely girl can be frightened by just about anything unfamiliar, but beneath those nerves is an incredibly sweet dog who simply needs time to feel comfortable. She loves putting her nose to work, observing everything happening around her, and occasionally offering her own very vocal commentary. River may be timid, but she certainly has a personality, and getting to know her is well worth the patience it takes.
River's best fit:
River needs a patient family willing to help her build confidence and experience the world at her own pace. She is still learning how to walk on a leash and will benefit from gentle, consistent training and plenty of opportunities to explore without feeling overwhelmed. A calmer, predictable home would give her the space she needs to settle in and begin feeling secure. We do not yet know how River feels about other dogs or cats, so those introductions will need to be evaluated individually. River has a lot to learn, but she is an incredibly lovable girl who deserves someone willing to give her the time she needs to show it.
