Meet juniper
Juniper has places to go, people to meet, and approximately 47,000 smells that require her immediate attention. This silly hound girl is a social butterfly who is immediately friendly with new people and does wonderfully with children. She has a nice middle-of-the-road energy level and enjoys getting out for walks and exploring, although she would choose following an interesting scent over playing with a toy just about every time. Food, on the other hand, absolutely gets her attention. Juniper is already house trained, walks well on a leash, and is an affectionate, easygoing companion when she is not busy investigating whatever her nose has discovered.
Juniper's best fit:
Juniper would be a great fit for a family looking for a friendly, semi-active dog who wants to be included without needing constant entertainment. Like a proper hound, she can be clever about finding her way out of an enclosure, so her future family will need to take secure containment seriously and keep an eye on her outdoors. We do not yet know how Juniper feels about other dogs or cats, so those introductions will need to happen before we know whether she is ready for furry roommates. Give her plenty of opportunities to sniff, some good walks, a pocket full of treats, and people to call her own, and Juniper will be a very happy hound.
