Meet Pebbles — the girl who loves everyone.
Pebbles landed in our arms after her owner passed away and, sadly, family members left her living outside. Despite everything she’s been through, Pebbles hasn’t let it change how she feels about people. This girl is PURE LOVE.
Pebbles greets new people with a wagging tail and is always ready to make a new friend. And kids? She absolutely LOVES them! Babies, toddlers, big kids — Pebbles thinks they’re all wonderful.
She’s pretty fantastic with the four-legged members of the family, too. Pebbles does great with cats, loves other dogs and will even play with her canine friends. When playtime is over, she’s more than happy to settle in for one of her other favorite activities: snuggling.
When Pebbles came to us, we discovered she had a bladder stone that needed to be surgically removed. That stone is now gone, but her forever family will need to help keep another one from forming. Pebbles needs to remain on prescription urinary food and needs regular potty breaks about every 2–3 hours during the day. While she may need a few more trips outside than some dogs, Pebbles does beautifully overnight. She sleeps through the entire night without accidents and does not have accidents in her crate or bed. Pebbles is cratetrained, loves to go for walks and does good on a leash.
After losing her person and then finding herself living outside, Pebbles deserves a family who will make sure she never has to wonder where she belongs again. And in return? You get a happy, tail-wagging, kid-loving, dog-playing, cat-friendly little snugglebug who seems to believe there’s always room for one more friend.
Her new family will need to travel to Raleigh to adopt her - no transports. We prefer to adopt to families in NC, VA, SC, eastern TN, northern GA, WV and DC area. To get the process started, fill out an application at www.doxiebyproxy.org/application. Be sure to fill out the application on a computer - it sometimes doesn't work on a phone.
Pebbles is UTD, hw negatve, spayed, had a dental cleaning with extractions and microchipped. She had a bladder stone that was removed. She will need to remain on urinary food to prevent future stones.
