These sweet boys landed in our arms when their owner passed away. Their whole world changed, but thankfully, they still had each other. Now this bonded pair is ready to find a family who will love them both and give them the security of knowing they’ll never have to say goodbye to each other.Caramel is happy, affectionate and loves attention—especially a good belly rub. But his absolute favorite thing? WALKS. The second the leash appears, Caramel is ready to go, complete with some pretty adorable, excited butt wiggles. He walks well overall and is continuing to work on staying calm and focused when he sees other dogs. Caramel also enjoys the occasional game of ball, although he hasn’t quite figured out why humans expect him to bring it back after they throw it.Little Man has a face that is almost impossible to resist and is a champion snuggler. He enjoys walks too, although he approaches them with considerably less urgency than Caramel. Little Man has also discovered the location of the treats in his foster home and is not shy about reminding everyone when he believes a nighttime snack is overdue. He can be vocal when he wants attention—or feels he isn’t getting his fair share—and his foster family is working on teaching him that asking quietly works better. His prized possession is his stuffed elephant. He loves carrying it outside, playing with it and curling up with it for a good snuggle.Both boys get along very well with the other dogs in their foster home and have settled nicely into foster life. They would also be OK as the only dogs in their new home. Both are still working on becoming fully house trained, so their new family will need to continue giving them consistency, routine and patience. Because Caramel has shown some uncertainty around young children and did snap at a child in his foster home, these guys need a home with kids over 10.Both dogs are UTD on vaccines, neutered, heartworm negative and have had dentals with extractions. Caramel and Little Man are fostered in North Carolina. Adopters must travel to their foster home to complete the adoption; we do not transport dogs to adopters.
