Watch out, here comes a tail! 🐾 Barney Boo Boo is a big, goofy pup with a zest for life and a whole lot of love to share. His favorite things are people, being outside, and playing chase with his canine friends—and he approaches all three with plenty of enthusiasm!

Barney has been working hard on his basic manners, housetraining, and leash skills, and he is making great progress. He is eager to please and loves figuring out what his people want from him. Born outside and having a less-than-ideal start to life, Barney has had plenty of new things to learn, and he has adapted amazingly well.

He is also learning that his crate is a safe, comfortable place. He’s still working on the whole “being separated from the fun” concept, though, and isn't shy about sharing his feelings when he'd rather be wherever the action is! His foster family is helping him understand that crate time is just part of the routine, not a punishment.

Barney is playful and excited when meeting other dogs and would likely benefit from having a confident canine companion to show him the ropes and help him continue building his confidence. He hasn't met cats yet. Because this big guy can get pretty enthusiastic, older children may be a better fit so he doesn't accidentally knock anyone over in his excitement.

Barney has come a long way, and he's just getting started. He’s goofy, affectionate, eager to learn, and ready for a family who will give him the guidance and encouragement he needs to grow into his very best self.
