Meet Josie! ?? Josie is a 1.5-year-old, 54-pound American Pit Bull Terrier who is looking for a patient family willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable. Josie came to us as a stray, so we don`t know her history with children or other animals. She can be nervous in new situations, but once she has room to settle in and realize she`s safe, her personality begins to shine. She enjoys belly rubs, toys, and treats, and her curious nose is always hard at work sniffing and figuring out the world around her!Josie is a high-energy girl who is still very unsure of the other dogs around her, especially when walking through the kennel and in play yards. Because of this, we are looking for a home where she can focus on building confidence and learning to trust her people. With patience, understanding, and plenty of positive experiences, we think Josie has the potential to become an amazing companion.
