Tia arrived at the shelter with her sister, Tamara, after being housed with multiple dogs. Before coming to the shelter, she had limited opportunities to explore the world, so new experiences can still feel a little scary. But just look at how far she’s come! Tia has gone from having no leash-handling skills to enjoying full walks around the neighborhood. We couldn’t be prouder of her progress! She’s also discovered that quiet office time is pretty wonderful, especially when she can relax and take in the world at her own pace.

Tia is a curious girl who wants to know more about the people she meets. She’ll happily wander over for a sniff to say hello and check you out. With a little patience and time to build trust, you’ll get to see her personality shine. She’s learning that life has so many good things to offer, from fun puzzle toys and playtime with her sister, Tamara, to anything involving food!

When it comes to other dogs, Tia is comfortable sharing space with them, but she isn’t looking to make a best friend out of every dog she meets. She’s perfectly happy keeping things polite and casual.

Tia will need a special someone who understands that confidence takes time and that the best relationships are built on trust. She may need a little extra patience as she adjusts to new people and her new home, but she’s already shown us what she can accomplish when given the chance.
