Meet hope tiny girl big heart bigger appetite

Hope- the girl that shows you, love doesn’t cost that much ❤️

Some girls want diamonds. Hope? She’ll happily accept a handful of kibble.

Hope comes in at a perfect 13 pounds, 2 years old, and has the softest, velvet like coat, unlike the typical chihuahua! Which is what we estimate Hope to be. As we know, with rescue it’s always our best guess based on looks and temperament.

This tiny Chihuahua has discovered that life’s greatest joys aren’t fancy treats or extravagant adventures; they’re a full belly, a cozy bed, gentle hands, and the people she loves. If you happen to have a few pieces of kibble in your pocket, you’ll also be rewarded with the cutest little happy dance you’ve ever seen. Her foster parents’ favorite thing about her? Her happy food dance at every meal time! She goes from mellow Hope, to dance mode Hope!

She’s what we lovingly call a slow-burn sweetheart. She won’t be the dog who rushes into your lap the moment you meet her, but if you give her the time to settle in and realize she’s safe, she’ll quietly become your little shadow. (Cue in kibble, even though she would probably be even more grateful with yummy treats!) Today she happily cuddles with her foster family, sleeps snuggled up beside them each night, and has learned that affection is something to enjoy instead of fear.

One of Hope’s favorite things in the world is having the bridge of her tiny nose gently rubbed. Close your eyes while you do it, and you’ll swear she’s melting right into your hands. It’s one of those little moments that perfectly captures who she is- soft, trusting, and incredibly sweet.

Hope lives with four other small dogs ranging from confident little spitfires to easygoing couch potatoes, and she fits in beautifully with all of them. With her being the calmest and most loyal of them all. She happily shares toys, space, and even her food without a second thought. Despite food being her absolute love language, she’s shown no signs of resource guarding, proving just how kind and respectful she is with other dogs. She also met a cat with wonderful manners, greeted another small dog beautifully, and charmed a 14-year-old with her quiet, gentle personality. Hope loves her stuffies and will have one near and entertain herself.

One thing that makes Hope especially remarkable is how patient she is. Even when she was frightened and unsure in her new surroundings, she never once growled, snapped, or tried to nip. She simply needed someone willing to let her discover that the world could be kind.

She’s also wonderfully easy to live with. Hope is:

* House trained
* Crate trained
* A fantastic passenger in the car
* Quiet around the house
* Low maintenance and content with life’s simple pleasures

Hope isn’t looking for someone to save her. She’s looking for someone who will appreciate the quiet kind of love she has to offer. The kind that grows a little stronger every day. The kind that’s built on trust instead of expectations.

If you’ve been searching for a tiny companion with a giant heart, a gentle spirit, and a happy dance that can be earned with nothing more than a few pieces of kibble, Hope is waiting to meet you.

Hope is the definition of a gentle soul.

Sometimes the very best things in life really are the simplest… and Hope is proof of that. Apply today and bring Hope home.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
