Some puppies steal your heart with their energy. Frankie steals it with his sweetness.
This handsome little boy is a gentle soul who takes his time getting to know the world. New people, places, and experiences can make him a little cautious at first, but with patience and reassurance, his confidence continues to grow every day.
One of Frankie's most endearing qualities is what happens the moment you reach down to pet him—he completely melts right onto the ground, soaking up every bit of love and affection. It's impossible not to smile as he happily surrenders for cuddles, quietly reminding you just how much he enjoys feeling safe and loved.
Although he's been the shyest puppy in his litter, Frankie has been making wonderful progress and is slowly coming out of his shell. Once he realizes everything is okay, his playful side takes over. He loves to romp, explore, and join in the fun with his siblings, proving there's a fun-loving little puppy just waiting beneath his cautious first impression.
Frankie is looking for a family who understands that confidence grows with patience, kindness, and encouragement. In return, they'll be rewarded with an incredibly loyal companion who forms deep bonds and cherishes every moment spent by their side.

Old Dominion Humane Society (ODHS) Adoption Process
- Complete our Adoption Survey on the Adopt page of our website at https://www.olddominionhumanesociety.org/adoption-survey to expedite the process and arrange a meet-and-greet. Expect a response within about a week; please check your spam folder. As we're 100% volunteer-run, your patience is appreciated!
Requirements And Donations
- Required Adoption Day Items: A martingale collar and a non-retractable leash (available for purchase at ODHS).
- Adoption Donations: Puppies (under 1 year): $375; Adults: $275; Seniors (age-dependent): $175; Select dogs: $500. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards.
- Adoption Radius: Within 350 miles of Fredericksburg, VA. A $50 out-of-state fee applies.
- Breed Identification: Dogs are listed as "Mixed Breed" unless formal documentation is available.

- Visit our adoption center at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 during adoption hours: Wednesday 5-7 PM; Friday 6-8 PM; Saturday 10 AM-4 PM.
