Meet tallulah lulu sweet little lady
There's something so incredibly comforting about Tallulah Lulu.
Maybe it's her sweet little underbite that leaves her tongue peeking out almost all the time. Maybe it's the way her floppy ears bounce when she picks up the pace. Or maybe it's simply the gentle way she moves through life. Whatever it is, Tallulah has this quiet, peaceful presence that makes you instantly want to sit down beside her and stay awhile.
She's not the kind of dog that's going to barrel into your house like she's known you forever. Instead, she'll quietly make her way over, gently lean into you for pets, and before you know it, you'll realize she's completely stolen your heart. Her foster describes her as incredibly sweet, innocent, and gentle, and honestly, we couldn't think of a better way to describe her ourselves.

Tallulah Lulu is believed to be an English Bulldog/French Bulldog mix approximately 3 years old and weighs about 30 lbs. As with any rescue dog, her exact breed is always a bit of a mystery.
Tallulah is one of those dogs that reminds you life doesn't always have to be so busy. She's low energy, easygoing, and perfectly happy spending her days lounging around the house, hanging out on the patio, or curling up next to her favorite people. She's not looking for nonstop adventures or an action-packed lifestyle. She's looking for a cozy place to call home and someone to share the quiet moments with.
One of our favorite things about Tallulah is how gently she shows affection. She's not overly demanding and isn't the type that's constantly asking for attention. Instead, she'll quietly rest her head on you while you're relaxing or ever so slightly lean closer when you stop petting her, almost like she's politely asking if maybe... just maybe... you wouldn't mind a few more scratches. It's incredibly sweet and impossible not to fall in love with.
When it comes to other dogs, Tallulah is wonderfully easygoing. She's currently fostered with several dogs her size or smaller and gets along beautifully with everyone. They spend their days hanging out in the backyard, enjoying the patio together, and peacefully coexisting. Every now and then she'll join in for a little play session, but even then, she's incredibly gentle. Her idea of playing is happily running alongside another dog rather than roughhousing. If you have a larger dog and would like to know how she'd do with a dog larger than her, we're happy to arrange an introduction with a dog that has a similar personality.
Tallulah has also shown all the signs of being very cat-friendly. Her foster currently has young foster kittens, and Tallulah has seen them several times through a barrier. They even went nose-to-nose through the barrier, and she showed little to no interest. She also had the opportunity to spend over an hour free roaming with a confident, dog-savvy adult cat, and she was just as unfazed. Even when the cat was running through the house, jumping on furniture, and knocking things over, Tallulah remained calm and relaxed. A couple of times she casually followed behind him, almost like she was curious to see what he was up to, but once her curiosity was satisfied, she'd simply wander off and do her own thing. Based on everything we've seen so far, she seems to have a wonderfully respectful, easygoing approach to cats.
Tallulah is also fully potty trained in her foster home and has wonderful house manners. She currently stays in a playpen when her foster is away and does great there. She's also done well in a crate on previous occasions and is quiet and content. Like many dogs, she may need a little guidance in a brand-new home while she learns where you'd like her to go potty, but once she understands the routine and is given regular opportunities to go outside, she settles in beautifully.
Tallulah will need a family that's willing to let her settle in at her own pace. New people and new places can make her a little shy at first, and it took a few days before she fully opened up in her foster home. Even then, she was always sweet. She simply isn't the type of dog that's going to shower everyone with kisses the moment she walks through the door. She's the kind of dog that quietly builds trust, and once she does, the bond you earn with her feels incredibly special.
Because of her gentle, homebody personality, we think Tallulah would be happiest in a calm household. A home with a backyard would be wonderful, although she also has the potential to do well in a quieter apartment that's away from the hustle and bustle of a busy city. We haven't introduced her to young children yet, but based on everything we've learned about her, we think she'd be most comfortable with older, calmer kids who understand that not every dog wants a house full of excitement.
If you've been searching for a quiet little companion to come home to at the end of the day, someone to share peaceful evenings on the couch and remind you to slow down every once in a while, Tallulah just might be your perfect match. She won't ask for much. Just a soft place to land, a little patience while she settles in, and someone to love her as gently as she'll love them right back.
We are willing to test Tallulah ____ with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
