Captain Jack is a 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s playful, affectionate, incredibly smart, and always ready for his next adventure.

Jack loves being with his people. Whether you’re going for a walk, teaching him something new, or just relaxing together, he’s happiest when he’s included. He’s eager to learn, already knows several commands, and is the kind of dog who genuinely wants to please. His foster describes him as an excellent listener who catches on quickly and thrives with positive guidance.

Like many young dogs, Captain Jack has plenty of energy and loves to play. He’s dog-friendly and enjoys having canine friends, but he also forms strong bonds with his people and is wonderfully loyal.

Captain Jack is still polishing a few manners. When he gets really excited, he can become a little mouthy, and he’s working through some mild food resource guarding. Both have been improving with consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement. He’s looking for an adopter who will continue building on the great foundation he’s already started.
