Meet Boots!

A joyful three-and-a-half-year-old Boxer/Labrador Retriever mix currently in San Clemente, CA, whose bright spirit and mostly white coat make her a walking bundle of sunshine. Boots brings the perfect blend of playful energy and heartfelt devotion to every day. Weighing about 60 pounds, this medium sized girl is equal parts running buddy and champion cuddlebug!

Boots adores stuffed animals, rope toys, and any excuse to dash around the yard with a happy bounce in her step. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and confidently knows how to sit. With her steady temperament and friendly nature, she is compatible with kids, cats, and other dogs. She especially enjoys spending time with teens who match her upbeat enthusiasm! Car rides are another favorite, and she happily settles in for the adventure.

Her personality is delightfully goofy! One side of her face carries a boxer like expression, while the other side shows the charming effects of facial nerve damage from surviving distemper as a puppy. The result is an endearing grin that could rival a movie star pup! She has had most of her teeth removed and may need ongoing dental awareness, yet she eats, plays, and snuggles with total joy. Loud or high pitched noises can make her uneasy, and she would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to build confidence and polish her manners.

Boots thrives in an active, caring environment with a pet parent who enjoys walks, runs, and lively play sessions. After a day of fun, she is happiest curled up on the bed or relaxing in her kennel, content just to be near her people.
