Ready to branch out? Meet Stem, the little sprout who's ready to put down some roots with his forever family to help him grow into the amazing dog he's meant to be!

Stem and his five siblings were found as strays before making their way to PAWS. So since we don't know much about the first month or so of his life, his story is still growing—just as much as he is!

Like any puppy, Stem is equal parts adorable, curious, playful, and occasionally a tiny tornado with four paws. His future family should be ready for everything puppyhood brings: establishing routines, positive training, socialization, enrichment, playtime, snuggles, and celebrating all of those exciting firsts along the way. He would especially love a home with a friendly resident dog who can show him the ropes, or a family with a thoughtful socialization plan to help him blossom into a confident adult.

We're not exactly sure how big Stem will be when he's fully grown, but we expect he'll grow into a larger dog—so while he's little now, he has plenty of growing left to do!

Stem will also be having his neuter surgery in the coming weeks, and once he's fully vaccinated, he'll be ready to explore the world on walks and adventures. Until then, he'll need access to a private outdoor space for potty breaks, getting comfortable outside, and building a solid house training routine.

This dog is considered a mixed breed because it’s not accurate to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.
