Rocko has spent months waiting for someone to see what everyone who meets him already knows—he's an incredibly sweet, resilient boy with so much love left to give.Estimated to be around 7–8 years old, Rocko is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed. He enjoys exploring, playing with dog friends, working on enrichment toys, and then happily settling down for a nap in the sun or beside his favorite person. He still has plenty of pep in his step and loves to have fun, but he also knows how to relax.After losing the only family he knew, Rocko found himself at a crowded shelter where he was at risk of euthanasia. Akira Animal Rescue gave him a second chance, and he recently completed a professional board-and-train program to help build his confidence and prepare him for his forever home. He worked incredibly hard, and his trainer is available to support his adopter after he goes home.Rocko is affectionate, loyal, and loves being close to his people. He enjoys pets, cuddles, and will happily reward you with kisses.Rocko has done wonderfully meeting and playing with a variety of dogs. His biggest challenge is that he gets very excited during introductions and can come on a little too strong, which may overwhelm more timid dogs. Once everyone settles in, he's playful, social, and enjoys canine companionship. Proper introductions help set him up for success, and his trainer is happy to guide his adopter through the process.
