Meet joan the family pup

Meet Joan — a young puppy currently estimated to be about 3 months old. We believe this little one may be a Lab/Shepherd mix, but as with many rescue pups, her exact breed blend is unknown. What we can say for sure is that Joan is 100% deserving of a loving home.

With her sleek black-and-white coat, adorable floppy ears, squishy puppy face, and expressive brown eyes, Joan is the definition of puppy perfection. She has the cutest little white markings on her chest and chin, and somehow always manages to look like she's posing for a picture. Whether she's sitting politely in her bed or zooming around with a toy, she's absolutely irresistible.

Joan is currently thriving in a foster home where she's learning all about the world through playtime, nap time, cuddle time, and lots of love. She's growing up around people and other dogs and is developing into a happy, confident, and well-socialized puppy.

If Joan had to choose a favorite hobby, it would probably be "all toys." Stuffies? Yes. Balls? Absolutely. Tug toys? Definitely. Chew toys? You bet. This girl loves them all. She'll happily rotate through her toy collection like she's trying to make sure none of them feel left out. She especially loves playing tug with her brother and has all the playful puppy energy you'd expect from a happy, healthy young pup.

Joan is also surprisingly talented at fetch and loves running around showing off her playful side. She approaches life with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a wagging tail, always ready to see what fun comes next.

But as much as she loves to play, Joan has a softer side too. Once she's gotten her zoomies out and finished her important puppy business, she's ready to curl up for snuggles. One of her favorite places to be is tucked into your arms or resting her head on your shoulder while she soaks up all the love and affection she can get. She loves being held, cuddled, kissed, and reminded how adorable she is—which, to be fair, is very often.

Like all puppies, Joan will need a family committed to training, socialization, patience, and consistency as she grows. Puppies benefit from crate training, daily structure, positive reinforcement, and continued exposure to new experiences as they learn how to navigate the world.

If you're ready for puppy kisses, endless entertainment, toy-filled adventures, and a best friend who will happily switch between playtime and cuddle time, Joan might just be the perfect addition to your family.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
