Meet rico
Rico is a loving and loyal dog who would do well in a home with other dogs or as the only dog. His background prior to us adopting him 18 months ago is unclear and we believe he is between 3-5 years old currently. He is protective of his family and house and has a hard time with visitors. He has undergone extensive behavioral training for reactivity. He’s improved significantly, but sadly we don’t envision being able to have children visit the house safely without close attention. We have a newborn which provoked the very tough decision to find him a new home.
Generally, he is low energy and does well lounging around the house for most of the day but also loves walks particularly on the beach. He loves cuddling with the family at night and is well trained on the leash. He loves the female dog walkers who come most days, but takes a little longer to warm up to men. He is great with other dogs in all situations. It is very important to us that he finds a loving home.
