Bodhi is a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with his person. With those he trusts, he is loving, attentive, and happiest in calm, predictable environments. This is a very difficult decision, made with Bodhi’s safety and long-term quality of life in mind. Bodhi struggles with reactivity and anxiety, particularly in high-stimulus or unpredictable situations. He has received extensive training, consistent structure, professional guidance, and medical support with fluoxetine (Reconcile), which helped reduce baseline anxiety but did not fully resolve his reactivity. Despite real effort and progress, it has become clear that Bodhi needs a quieter, more structured home. Bodhi would do best with an experienced, patient owner who understands reactive dogs and can provide calm leadership, routine, and continued guidance. He is deeply loved, and this decision is rooted in honesty, responsibility, and a commitment to finding him the right home where he can thrive.
