Zinny: 6-year-old Cattle Dog mix, Portland, ME
Zinny is one of those dogs who takes a little time to trust, but once she does, she's yours completely!
She's smart, loyal, affectionate, and deeply bonded to her people. She loves beach walks, hiking, and being wherever you are ("velcro dog").
She came to us from Georgia five years ago, scared and shut down, but blossomed into one of the most wonderful companions. Life changed when our baby arrived, and as much as it breaks our hearts, we know she deserves a home where she can thrive.
Zinny does best with:
- Experienced dog owners who understand herding breeds
- Adults only household
- An active lifestyle with room to roam
- Someone patient enough to let her warm up
