Some dogs walk into your life and immediately demand attention. Others quietly work their way into your heart—and Beetlejuice is very much the second kind. 🥹
Beetle is a 2-year-old, 40-pound fawn-and-white Pittie mix who has grown up in the shelter and is still waiting for someone to discover just how special he really is.
Sweet, affectionate, and a little sensitive, Beetle absolutely lives for getting out of his kennel and spending time with his person. He stays close to his handler, loves long walks, and seems happiest when he knows he’s with someone he can trust.

Beetlejuice can be exuberant when he first gets out, but once he settles in, his sweet personality really shines. He’ll flop down, wiggle onto his back, and happily soak up every bit of love you’re willing to give. 🥹💕
Beetle is a sensitive boy who can be a little unsure of new people and may become protective in a home. He did have one bite incident while in a home, and we’re happy to discuss the details with serious inquiries. But one incident does not define Beetlejuice. ❤️
What defines him to us is the dog we see every day: the boy who stays close to his handler, rolls around in the grass, offers his belly for rubs, loves his walks, enjoys the water, and absolutely lights up when he gets attention from someone he trusts.
Beetlejuice will do best in an adult-only, quiet home with few visitors and a patient owner who understands that building trust with a sensitive dog takes time. With structure, consistency, and someone willing to let him learn at his own pace, we think Beetle has so much potential to blossom. 🌱
After growing up in a shelter, he deserves the chance to finally know what it feels like to have a home—and a person who sees the whole dog, not just one difficult moment in his past.
