🐾❤️ XENA: EVERYONE'S FAVORITE ADVENTURE GIRL. STILL NOBODY'S DOG. 💔🐾
Some dogs find their families quickly. Others watch dog after dog leave while they continue to wait.
Xena has been waiting FAR too long. And we honestly can't figure out why. 🥹
Meet Xena, a 3–4-year-old, 45-pound brindle-and-white beauty, likely a Pittie/Boxer mix. She's a longtime volunteer favorite, an amazing walking companion and one of the happiest explorers you'll ever meet!
We should have nicknamed her Dora the Explorer, because EVERY hill, puddle, tree and trail deserves investigating! 😂
Here's why we love this girl:
🐾 Fantastic walking buddy! Loves exploring and taking in the world around her.
🏃♀️ Potential running partner! Recently had a volunteer doing sprint intervals and couldn't have been happier!
💦 Water-loving goofball! Joyfully plows through puddles, splashes around and rolls in the grass.
🚗 Expert car rider! Ready for road trips, outings and adventures!
💕 Volunteer favorite! Sweet, fun-loving and wonderful company.
🐶 Prefers to be your one-and-only! Comfortable walking alongside other dogs but would likely be happiest as the queen of her own castle.
Here's what breaks our hearts. 💔
Xena has watched SO many dogs come and go. She's celebrated plenty of happy endings, but she's still waiting for her own.
It's time for Xena to stop being everyone's favorite SHELTER dog and start being someone's favorite FAMILY dog. 🥹❤️
