Digger Has Made It to Wisconsin and Is Settling Into His Foster Home

Digger has officially arrived in Wisconsin and is settling into his foster home while he waits for his forever family.

This handsome 2-year-old Retriever mix came to us from a shelter in Georgia after his previous owners could no longer care for him. Despite everything he has been through, Digger has remained a happy, easygoing dog with a fun and goofy personality that makes everyone smile.

Digger does well with other dogs and has played with every male and female dog he has met. He is very adaptable and adjusts his play style to match the dogs around him. Whether it is roughhousing with energetic friends or hanging out with calmer companions, Digger fits right in. While he can be a goofy and playful dog during group play, he is much more mellow one-on-one and enjoys relaxing with his people.

He knows several tricks including sit, high five, lay down, and roll over, showing just how smart and eager to learn he is. He is food motivated and always happy to work for a tasty snack.

Before making his journey north, Digger attended a parade where he impressed everyone with how well he handled the crowds, noise, and activity. He also did great around children. While he prefers older, respectful kids over little ones who may climb or hang on him, he enjoys being part of the action and spending time with people.

Digger also loves water and would be a great companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures but also appreciates a dog who is happy to relax at home afterward.

As he settles into foster care, we look forward to learning even more about him and sharing updates. For now, Digger is enjoying his new surroundings and is ready to find the forever family he deserves.
