After being surrendered by her previous owner, she was given the opportunity to travel north and begin the next chapter of her life.So far, Nova is adjusting well and getting comfortable in her new surroundings. As she decompresses and settles into a routine, her foster family will continue learning more about her personality, preferences, and what type of forever home will be the best fit.Nova is a sweet, affectionate dog who enjoys attention and has done well with adult dogs and children in the past. Having previously lived in a home, she already has a solid foundation that should help make her transition easier. We are grateful to everyone who helped make Nova’s journey possible and look forward to sharing more updates as she continues to settle in.Foster update on Nova (June 8) - she's a fun loving, surprisingly spry girl at times. Nova wants to be with people, recall is good, sit command is good and her nose is always sniffing for chipmunks, squirrels, and rabbits. She is great in the car. She just enjoyed a nice weekend up north and was a wonderful addition to the camp. She played so hard she snored at night, the cutest little snores. Nova is a great girl with so much love to give.Age: 3 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 74 lbsBreed: Shepherd/Golden Retriever Mix (best guess)Spayed: YesHeartworm Test: NegativePotty Trained: Likely yes Crate Trained: Likely yes Leash Manners: Decent Good with Dogs: Yes, adult dogs preferred Good with Cats: NoGood with Kids: Yes Good with Puppies: NoNova is now safe in Wisconsin and looking forward to finding her forever family.
