Don’t worry if your day plans get cancelled, Anna won’t mind at all. While she isn't the type to demand constant spotlight, she is a devoted companion who just wants to be wherever her people are. She’s not looking to be a marathon runner; she’s looking to be your loyal shadow and the steady heartbeat of your home. She is building her stamina more and more each day and loves joining her people for outings at her own easygoing pace.
What exactly is Anna? Well, she hasn’t exactly spilled the tea regarding her family tree! We think she’s a beautiful Lab mix with that classic, approachable look everyone falls for. At 52 lbs, she’s the perfect medium size, sturdy enough for a big hug, but compact enough for easy car rides and cozy couch cuddles (without taking up the whole couch). Her coat? It’s a velvety black fur, with a bright white chest, and feet delicately dipped in white. She is a recent tripod, but she navigates the world with a happy spirit.
Anna is living in a foster home and has really let her personality bloom! She has officially mastered the art of the crate! She walks right in like she’s checking into a spa, finding it to be her ultimate safe haven for naps and slow, peaceful meals. She settles easily into her crate each day and truly sees it as her peaceful place to recharge. She is a polite, quiet presence in the house who understands that the best things in life, like a good dinner are meant to be savored slowly while laying down.
She has also proven to be an incredible companion on the go. Anna rides beautifully in the car and recently joined her foster on a six hour road trip where she was an absolute angel, calm, comfortable, and content the entire way. She has tagged along to outdoor restaurant outings and simply relaxed by her person’s side, never begging for food and taking everything in stride. She can happily accompany you throughout your day, whether it’s running errands, relaxing at home, or enjoying a quiet outing together.
When it comes to other dogs, Anna is a polite greeter. She doesn’t just rush in; she likes to read the room first. When she meets a new friend, she takes a quiet second to think, “Wait, have I met you before? Well, anyway... I think we can be friends!” Anna is a total pro at sharing her space (and her favorite squeaky toys!). In her foster home, she has really blossomed with multiple dogs of different energy levels and adjusts beautifully to each of them. She enjoys playful moments like tug of war, gentle wrestling, and exploring the yard, while also knowing when it’s time to relax and nap.
Her best buddy is a dog named Jay, and the two are truly two peas in a pod. They do everything together, playing, exploring, walking, napping, and even cuddling up to sleep. They share toys, take breaks together, and have the kind of easy, balanced companionship that is just special to watch. While she absolutely thrives with a doggy friend, she would also do well soaking up all the love as your one and only.
Calling all cat enthusiasts! She’s the kind of dog who would likely enjoy a quiet afternoon nap in the same room as a kitty, making her the perfect addition to a multi pet family! We think this girl would be an absolute dream in a home with a feline friend.
Anna has been wonderful with children she has met, including kids between the ages of 8 and 12, showing a calm, gentle, and comfortable demeanor around them. When meeting new people, she may take a moment to take everything in, but she is never vocal, never pushy, and always willing to engage in her own time. She walks right alongside her person without hesitation, even in new environments.
This lovely lady is a versatile queen who would be just as happy in a cozy apartment as she would be in a house! She is easy on leash, enjoys daily outings, and has even shown how well she can stick close to her person during off leash time in a safe, familiar setting. She loves the water and happily jumps in for a swim when given the chance. She can handle stairs when needed, but since she is still building up her strength, a home without a mountain of stairs would be her version of paradise. She can even hop right up into a truck on her own, proving just how capable and determined she is.
She does have a little bit to say when she’s left all alone, so she’d love a home with another doggy sibling or a steady routine to keep her confidence soaring. She’s a gentle soul who just wants a soft place to land and a family to adore.
