Negan is the kind of dog you don’t forget. He is a stunning blue heeler mix with a beautiful coat. He turns heads everywhere he goes. Negan is smart, loyal, and deeply connected to his people. He does wonderfully on leash, is both crate trained and house-trained, and thrives when he has structure and clear expectations. A couple of years ago, Negan made the long journey north after being surrendered in South Carolina, arriving here in search of a fresh start. He found a loving home and where he was well cared for. But they wanted a better life for Negan, somewhere he can have room to run and daily enrichment. They made the incredibly difficult and selfless decision to give him another chance at finding the perfect fit.
Negan has energy to spare and will need a home where he has plenty of room to roam, explore, and stay mentally and physically engaged. Whether it’s long walks, outdoor time, or enrichment activities, Negan is happiest when he has a job to do and space to be himself. Because of his strong personality, Negan is protective over his space and belongings and appreciates having his boundaries respected. He’s looking for an experienced home with older kids (or adults only) who understand and honor his need for personal space.
