Indigo is sweetheart looking for a foster home where he can relax and heal while receiving treatment for heartworms. While he’s currently undergoing care, what he really needs most is a calm home environment where he can rest, feel safe, and enjoy the company of his favorite thing, people. Indigo absolutely loves humans and is happiest when he’s spending time with his person. He’s a quick learner, eager to please, and enjoys mental enrichment like training, puzzle toys, and gentle attention. With his bright mind and loving personality, he’s a wonderful companion who forms strong bonds with the people around him.
Because of his past struggles with other animals, Indigo will need to be the only pet in the home. A quiet space without other dogs or cats will help him feel comfortable and set him up for success.
Since Indigo is currently being treated for heartworms, it’s very important that his exercise stays limited. Short leash walks for bathroom breaks and calm indoor activities are perfect while he continues his recovery. A foster home will help ensure he can rest properly and avoid the stress of a busy shelter environment.
