Meet Chief!
Chief has been thriving in foster care, and we've gotten to see what a true gentleman he is. He recently had a short stay back at the shelter while his foster family was out of town, and while it was clear how much he missed them, he was thrilled to reconnect with familiar faces here.
Chief is a smart, social boy who loves being around people and looks forward to his daily walks. He's remarkably well-behaved, does great with free run of the house instead of being crated, and has even put on some muscle while in foster care — making him one handsome boy. On walks, he pays no attention to other dogs; he's much more interested in the walk itself.
More than anything, Chief just wants someone who will spend time with him — he's happy to tag along with whatever you're doing. He's affectionate, loyal, and a quick learner.
Chief does best as the only pet in the home. He should not live with other dogs or small animals, as he has a prey drive for smaller critters.
