Meet Berks, a curious and playful young male with a personality all his own! Berks is a friendly and cuddly guy who loves attention from people, especially children, and shows a sweet, calm side once he’s comfortable. He enjoys exploring on walks with his nose to the ground, sniffing out all the interesting scents, and can be very focused on the areas he wants to visit.

This thoughtful and inquisitive boy is looking for a family who can give him patience, structure, and plenty of love as he continues to grow and settle into a home. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a curious spirit and a sweet, affectionate heart, Berks might just be your perfect match!

Behavior Notes:
Per staff 3/24/26: Kennel Presentation: came to the front of the kennel with soft eyes, ears to the side, furrowed brow and tail down not moving.

Leash Skills: Dodging the leash. Came right out and mildly pulled on leash through the kennels. Once outside immediately went to the bathroom. Nose to the ground a majority of the time. Would randomly pull harder towards an area he wanted to go.

Sociability: Asocial. He stood

Play: n/a

Dog Interaction: Saw Loula and pulled hard towards her with mid tail not moving and ears forward. Fence meet with Oreo chip ( small dogs) mid tail wags and ears forward and tense body.

Return to Kennel: Walked right into kennel without hesitation and removed leash with my hand.

Color Level: Blue

Per finder 3/19/26: Curious and sniffs strangers, barks a lot and is reactive towards other dogs, and is calm and playful towards children. Pulls a lot on leash, and overall is friendly, cuddly, playful, a bit reactive
