Meet Coco Shine, a sweet and shy shepherd with a gentle, playful heart! While she can be a little nervous around other dogs and tends to stay in her own space during playgroups, Coco shines with people—she’s friendly, cuddly, and enjoys gentle interactions. She’s curious and likes to sniff and explore at her own pace, but she’s also happy to relax quietly beside you.

Coco may start off shy, but with consistency, gentle guidance, and lots of love, Coco will blossom into a devoted, affectionate friend. This sweet shepherd is looking for a family that will give her the confidence and comfort she deserves—could you be the one to let her shine?

Behavior Notes:

Per staff 3/23: Easy to leash, came right to the front. Walked nicely on the leash, no pulling Yes, handled the dog, friendly easy to handle. Walked right into kennel and unleashed without issue

Kennel Presentation: Came to the front of the kennel barking with soft eyes, ears to the side and mid tail wagging loosely.

Leash Skills: pushing in excitement out the door. Pulls mildly through the kennels towards the door. Pulled harder outside, continued to bark randomly.

Sociability: More aloof, did allowed me to do some petting. Had soft eyes, ears to the side with mid tail waging.

Play: n/a

Dog Interaction: Met Khan. Barking and pulling towards him with a loose body, ears back and mid loose wagging tail.

Return to Kennel: Went right back into her kennel and removed leash with hand.

Per volunteer 3/19: Rowdy & jumpy, but still easy to leash. Pulled Mildly. She didn't solicit pets, but when she stood still, I was able to pet her hips/ back side and under her chin. Walked right into kennel and unleashed without issue "Will run after a ball, but does not retrieve it. Was good through the fence with Candy, the Rottie. "

Playgroup 3/15: Steerable 2/5 with water, came in hot had a loose body, mid level tail wags. Showed some interest in sniffing at first then kept to herself, did some exit searching towards the end of her time in the yard.

Per staff 3/11/26: Very Reactive towards other dogs

Per finder 3/11/26: fine with strangers, animals, and children. Overall friendly, cuddly, shy, Scared, Quiet, Playful
