Meet pop
Meet Pop đ(ACCT-A-245045)! This handsome fellow is looking for a loving new home. Pop came to us when his previous family was no longer able to keep him due to landlord issues, and he's hoping his next stop is with you!
Pop is described as playful and loving. He previously lived with kids of all ages. H enjoys being told he's a "good boy" and loves to play with toysâ˝. He seems to know the "sit" command, which is a great start for learning even more!
Our volunteers have noted that Pop can be a little unsure when meeting new people, and can be a little jumpy. With patience and positive reinforcement, he's sure to blossom into a confident and affectionate companion. He showed nice loose body language meeting another dog through the fence, and after initial greetings, he was happy to move on.
Pop is full of energy and would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of exercise and playtime. Could you be the one to give Pop the loving and playful home he deserves? Come meet Pop today!đ

âBehavior Notesâ
Per volunteer 3/30: He showed a lot of interest in playing with other dogs, happily running along the fence.
Per ACA 3/23:
Easy to leash, came right to the front. Pulled Mildly Yes, I touched the dog. Loved getting pets, he âsmilesâ and wiggles his whole body and leaned into me for more Walked right into kennel and unleashed without issue Super playful, loved romping around in pen outside
Playgroup 3/15: Mid level tail wags, ears back. Sniffed the other dog in the yard with high tail wags. Tried to mount the other dog in the yard. Did some push/pull play with Stella and took some nice play pauses.
Per volunteer 3/13/2026:
Kennel presentation: He was at the front of his kennel with soft eyes and a slightly furrowed brow. When I presented the leashed he noticeably loosened up. I leashed him easily.
Leash Skills: He did not pull through the kennels. He pulled a bit when we got closer to the play yards and when we were headed back inside.
Sociability: He enjoys pepperoni! He was a bit jumpy when the pepperoni was out. He seems to know "sit." When I went to pet him he would flinch so I did not try petting him all over.
Play & Toys: I tossed some toys around and he had no reaction.
Dog interaction (must be on video if meeting face-to-face): He met a dog through the fence and remained loose with mid-level tail wags. After a few seconds he walked away on his own.
Returning to kennel: No issues going in.
Color level: Gold
03/12/2026:
Intake nurses reported, light snapping and weary behavior when trying to check in dog. They were able to complete the check in but reported some whale eyeing as well.
