My name is Penelope — though for the first few days of my life I went by Eugenie. That name did not stick, but my luck sure did. I was at Chicago Animal Care and Control when a volunteer from C.A.R.E. came to look around. The staff there had my back and gave me a glowing recommendation, and when my C.A.R.E. person laid eyes on me, it was instant. They fell in love, and I became a C.A.R.E. favorite. Now I just need the next chapter — a home of my very own.

No counter surfing, no chaos, no drama — just a relaxed, well mannered girl who knows how to share a space beautifully.
