Letty, a 6-month-old chocolate Lab mix with a sweet white spot on her nose, has arrived in Wisconsin and is ready to find her forever home! At about 35 lbs, she’s a fun, energetic pup who loves playtime, cuddles, and being with her people.

She’s about 90% potty trained with frequent potty breaks and is doing great in her foster home. Letty loves toys and bones, is starting to play with other dogs, and is good off-leash. She’s truly a “Velcro dog,” happiest when she’s soaking up all the attention she can get. She has a goofy side that is so fun to see coming out of her shell. She definitely has a lab personality and is starting to learn fetch.

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.

2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.

3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.

4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.

5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.

6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $125 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.
