Bessie (ACCT-A-242821) is a sweet girl ready for her forever home! She was found as a stray on 2/9/2026 and brought to ACCT by APOs. We're still getting to know her, but she's been a gentle, loving companion to everyone who's spent time with her. Come scoop her up any day at ACCT from 10am-6pm!

✨BEHAVIOR✨
Behavior eval 2/10/2026:
Kennel presentation: Sitting at the front of her kennel with soft eyes and a loose body. Easily leashed her.
Leash Skills: Walks very well on leash and did not pull. Stays close to handler. She peed as soon as we got outside.
Sociability: Allowed pets all over. When I stopped she would solicit more, wagging her tail and looking up at me until I began petting her again. She knows "sit" and "paw". She took treats gently. She would occasionally jump up but it was very soft and she'd jump right down.
Play & Toys: Did not engage in any play or with toys.
Dog interaction: None.
Returning to kennel: She walked right into her kennel and I was able to easily take my leash off.
Color level: Green

Per staff 2/10/2026: super sweet love bug. approached me with a wiggly body and allowed all handling. very excited to greet other staff. appears to know sit. love this lady
