Meet yuki the adorable nugget
Meet Yuki, a bright-eyed puppy with a brave little heart and a whole lot of charm.
At just 5 months old, Yuki is medium-sized for her age and expected yto grow into a lovely 35–45 lb adult. With rescue, breed is always a best guess, but she may have some pittie, lab, or terrier in the mix. What’s certain is that she is absolutely stunning. Yuki is all white with a single gray freckle on one ear, a soft gray nose, light greenish eyes, and sweet pink undertones that make her extra special.
She was initially fostered in a high-rise city apartment and is now in a home with young kids and other dogs. Elevators and busy hallways once didn’t faze her, and now she’s thriving with backyard playtime and family energy. She’s adaptable, confident, and happy wherever her people are. She was very respectful being fostered with a senior cat as well!
Yuki has been working on potty training and crate training and making great progress. She is already showing how smart and eager she is. Continued routine will allow her to shine!
She loves benebones, toys, enjoys a few good zoomies, and balances it all with plenty of naps like any growing puppy should. She walks nicely on leash, rides calmly in the car, and is affectionate in the sweetest way.
Snuggles are her specialty- with dogs or humans both. Yuki curls up close, often sleeping on her back with her legs in the air and her tongue peeking out. When she’s extra cozy, she may even snore herself to sleep. It’s the kind of simple, everyday sweetness that makes a house feel like home.
Yuki was born missing a hip socket, which gives her the most adorable little gait and signature hop. It’s simply part of her story and does not slow her down much. She runs, plays, and keeps right up with her friends, full of determination and joy.
Because of the way she was built, she sometimes moves a little sideways and benefits from staying strong and active to support her right leg. Daily play, normal activity, and maintaining healthy muscle tone help her continue to thrive. She doesn’t see herself as different, and she certainly doesn’t act like it.
She was also diagnosed with retinal dysplasia in both eyes. This is a congenital condition affecting the light-sensing layer of the eye. She can see and should live a full, happy life, though she may need minor accommodations, especially in low-light settings or help judging certain distances.
Neither of these differences define her. What defines Yuki is her playful spirit, resilience, and pure joy for life.
Yuki is still very young and will thrive with a family ready to commit to training, structure, and positive socialization. With guidance, patience, and consistency, she is going to grow into an incredible companion.
